Beijing is a capital in North China, and the capital of the People's Republic of China. Governed like a community under the immediate administration of the central administration, Hebei Province adjacent to Beijing in the north, west, south and for a little part to the east, and Tianjin community to the southeast. Beijing is one of the four major ancient capitals of China.

Beijing is divided into 14 urban and suburban areas and two counties. Beijing is an important transportation node, with dozens of railway, roads and motorways that through the city. There is also the destination for many international flights to China. Beijing is recognized as the political, educational and cultural center of the People Republic of China, while Hong Kong and Shanghai dominate in economic field. The city hosted the Olympics Games in 2008.
